Re failure of oil relay on 93 NK.

In dismantling this, we found, as reported, rivet lost and ball end unscrewed. Should not the grub screw, which locates the ball end in the bottom of the plunger, be soldered in position, or otherwise locked ? We find this is not the case, although both the grub screw and a portion of the plunger is tinned, as though this should have been soldered after the setting of the ball end. We will be pleased if you will give us the necessary information.

The leather on this oil relay is still in a remarkably good condition, the leather still being quite pliable.

G.W.Hancock.
