Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X4263 Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M17.12.21. GOSHAWK 11. FRONT AXLE. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 4263. Thank you for the information regarding the broken front axle. I did not mean that the axle might have met with an accident that you were aware of, but I should have said that the breakage might have been fortuitous. This seems to be confirmed by the fact that the next 2 axles broke in another place. Our trouble is that we cannot make the section where the first axle broke to be the weakest from any of the forces that we know of. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
