TELEPHONE: WATERLOO 3333 (50 LINES). TELEGRAMS: AUTOCARS, SEDIST, LONDON. Iliffe & Sons Ltd. Dorset House, Stamford Street, London, S.E.1. 31st January, 1941 W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq., Rolls-Royce Limited, D E R B Y . Dear Mr. Robotham, Many thanks indeed for your letter of the 27th instant, and for the two blue prints. What you offer with regard to Hall's T.T. Bentley appeals to me enormously. As a matter of fact we have had several requests for material of this kind from people who have followed the controversy; so I unhesitatingly accept and propose that Mr. Montague Tombs of our Coventry Office, whom you know well, should come over in order to collect the material. Apart from the curves and performance figures we should like one or two good photographs of the engine and car, as most of ours, I find, show the vehicle in action. I am sending Mr. Tombs a copy of this letter now and asking him to get into touch with you to make suitable arrangements for a meeting. Yours sincerely, Geoffrey Smith | ||
