The extra charge for lengthening the steering column on the Bentley up to 2 1/2" is £3. 17s. 0d.

With regard to supplying the original Bentley lamps with dipping reflectors, I think that if Mr. Thompson desires these, the best way would be to leave the matter in our hands, to do our best to get hold of a pair of these before the headlamp brackets are fitted. The reason being, that these are not now supplied under contract to us, and therefore the price we should have to pay and the price of the P.100 now supplied under contract may be very nearly the same.

We have however, received one or two requests to change the old type of head lamps for the new type on account of inefficiency, but personally I think this is due to appearance. These lamps are returned to Lucas, and at the time of writing we have not a pair on hand. It is possible however, that by the time this chassis is ready, we may receive another request to change the headlamps, and therefore we think it would be better to leave the matter in our hands.

I am writing Messrs. Park Ward concerning the Leveroll fittings to see whether they have any information.
