35 & 40 lbs 40 X3602 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY28/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 27. 5. 24. 20 HP. CHASSIS. TYRES. In connection with 20 HP. chassis tyre pressures, we have recommended in our Book 50 lbs. for the rear and 45 lbs for the front. Messrs James Dawson & Son, Ltd. have a customer who has been running his car at these pressures, and the tyres have given trouble. Messrs Dunlops report, after seeing the tyres, was that they had been run at too low a pressure, and from the report that Messrs Dawson & Son have made, the pressures in question appear to have been 50 lbs rear, and 45 lbs front, whereas the Dunlop Company stated 60 lbs rear and 45 lbs front. I have an idea that we thrashed this matter over with the Dunlop Company before we inserted the tyre pressures in our Book. Could you let me know if you discussed the matter specially with them?
