Dear Sirs, Re: Short WheelBase Bentley - 1.B.5. ----------------------------- Many thanks for your letters of the 6th. and 7th.inst. re the above. With respect to the finishing instructions, we agree that this car be painted as 25:G:VI. and in the manner mentioned in our previous letter. We also agree to the sample leather and head cloth. With respect to the loose covers, we think that £16 per set for loose covers extending over the cushions and squabs, and the doors up to the waist line only, is on the high side, and that it would be cheaper for us to have them made locally, will you therefore hold up the question of loose covers until you hear from us again. With respect to the front wings, and your letter concerning the same, we do not like any of the shapes you propose on your sketch, which we return herewith, and we have indicated the finish which we had in mind, and we would be glad if you would endeavour to work to this. We do not want an abrupt finish between the wing and the running board, furthermore, it is intended that the running board shall no longer be used for treading upon, and that it shall be a type of valance.
