The body of 9.B.5. was inspected prior to the meeting, and then the recommended Specification by Derby was dealt with item by item.

Front Wings:

The proposed new design of wing lamps being produced by BY/RD. was inspected and it was decided that :

(1) The lamp makers be asked to supply the lamp fairing to be welded into the wing in sheet alum.

(2) The chromium fillet around the glass fixing screw was ample embellishment.

Rear Wings.

A sample of the combined tail and stop lamp was inspected and also the proposed modified design. It was agreed that the neck of the bracket should have a ridged edge to harmonise with the helmet of the wing.
It was adopted that a reverse light be provided in the offside of the back panel and BY/RD. would endeavour to discover a suitable lamp for the coachbuilder's use. The operating switch will be on the gear lever.
