Dear Sir,

We thank you for your kind reception that was given to the writer on Monday afternoon and for the interest you kindly showed in our clutch.

As promised we send the enclosed blueprints showing the flexible centre for the driven disc which effectually dampens out the result of cyclic variation of the crankshaft, which is usually noticeable on the over-run. Over 6,000 of these flexible centres or "cush-drives" have been in service for 2 1/2 years and not one has been returned, nor have we had any adverse criticism. The rubber inserts satisfactorily withstand what heat reaches them; the temperature at that point is apparently not high, probably owing to the spoking of the friction disc and the fact that it is insulated by the asbestos fabric facings.

We are looking forward to receiving the drawings of the clutch for the Phantom III and the 25 h.p. model, as kindly promised.

Yours faithfully,
for Roper & Wreaks Ltd.,

(Sgd) F.J.Robinson.
