1135 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.6/MH.{M. Huckerby} 7th. February 1938. Messrs. Ferodo Ltd., Chapel-en-le-Frith. For the attention of Mr.Longley. Dear Sirs, You have recently sent us eight "Fero-Grip" Fan Belts - 2 15/16 x 9/16" x 30° x 39.11 6 25/32 x ½" x 32° x 44.7 to drawing EW.1518. These are in addition to the original three belts 15/16 x 9/16 x 30° x 39.11. When the question of an order for the original three belts was raised you stated that you preferred not to charge us for these belts as the price would be misleading. We would like to know whether you wish to charge us for the eight belts which we have recently received. If you do so we suggest that you charge us only for the 6 belts to EW.1518 as the information which we are obtaining on the larger belt is, if anything, of more value to you than to us. Will you please let us know your wishes in this matter. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
