The attached extract from PL.139, which has already been circulated, shows pictorially some of the models that are suggested for production. Briefly, from a design point of view, the work has now been completed for the production programme outlined in Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/R.3.8.39, whereby if a total of 1,200 Senior Range cars of all types are sold, in the year, a profit of £190,000 can be envisaged. The test figures following will indicate the measure of durability attained.

(b) Engines.

As a safeguard against the post-war economic position, the complete range of high power engines has been modified so that they can be produced with reduced bores, giving a lower R.A.C. rating. The list tabulated below shows what has been done. None of the smaller size of engine has been made.

Since the basic parts of the chassis were designed and have proved to be adequate for the larger range of engines, it is obviously undesirable to use the smaller sizes if this can possibly be avoided.
