+4516 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std.2/MA. 30th June, 1934. Messrs.John Marston, Ltd., Paul Street Works, Wolverhampton. For the attention of Mr.Dalrymple. Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your letters of the 25th & 27th instant, and are pleased to note that the Phantom & Bentley radiators ordered by us will be ready on Monday & Tuesday respectively. We note that you are making them with tinned .006 copper waterways and tinned .004 indirect strips - we do not understand why the indirect cooling strips are tinned since we understood in our discussion that this applied only to the waterways. We understand that we have ordered from you a 58 mm Harrison matrix to EB518, which you have not yet constructed - we therefore propose to instruct our Order Office to cancel this and order a second 58 mm Harrison matrix to EB1798, i.e. precisely similar to the one which you are now finishing for us. (The difference between EB518 & EB1798 is only concerned with the starting handle tunnel). We shall forward the necessary parts for this radiator to you at the earliest opportunity. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
