13477. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/KT. July 13th 1933. The S.U. Company, East Works, Bordesley Green Road, Adderley Park, B'ham. Dear Sirs, We have investigated the failure of one of the petrol pumps which you recently supplied to us. We found that the failure to function was due to the rubber rollers being too soft and too narrow, the result being that the toggle action failed to operate after the parts had been running for a short time. The rubbers which we use are wider and harder than those you are fitting. We are returning the petrol pump in question to you by Mr.Van de Becke today. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
