RE. STEERING.
40/50

We are endeavouring to send you at the first possible opportunity an application of a radius rod to the 40/50 which will permit of almost perfect geometry and a straight longitudinal steering tube. It is intended to try with this combination various leanings of pivots, and irreversible steering. I hope with this that you can have an excessive lean without risk of steering wobbles with irreversible or reversible steering, and that with centre point steering no road shocks should be felt with irreversible steering, and very little with reversible.
No friction should be needed for damping, in any combination.
It is therefore to be hoped that this combination will entirely clear up our steering problems.
