K613. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.5/MA. 21st March, 1935. Major C.M.Carington, Messrs.K.L.G.Sparkings Plugs, Ltd., Robinhood Engineering Works, Putney Vale, London, S.W.15. Dear Major Carington, I went out yesterday on the Duke of Kent's Bentley and was appalled at the noisiness of the Philco radio set he has installed. I think Philco's have made a bad job of the installation and I would suggest that you get Guinness to recommend the Duke to changeover to a British made set which is now getting very popular and which we consider is a good job namely the Ekco. The existing Philco installation is not a very good advertisement for the car. Yours faithfully, | ||
