Re. steering wobbles.

With reference to Repair Dept., I think it would be wise if we at once issued instructions to Repair Dept. concerning steering wobbles, as follows :-

All cars entering the Repair Shop to have the front pivots examined to see whether they lean excessively backwards at the top end.

The amount we consider excessive would be anything exceeding one in a hundred, that is 1/3 to 8".

The object of this examination and correction is to avoid what we have termed steering wobbles at slow speed, which may be set up by an out of balance wheel or tyre, or a tyre out of truth, or a particular speed, or by passing over a rough road at one particular speed.
