Dear "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}",

Bentley Streamlined Car
-----------------------

You will have received the wire I sent you this afternoon giving you the following results of our Montlhery tests with B-27-LE .

[Blue handwritten initials 'RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}' are written over the following results]
1) One hour.....................107.42 miles
2) Best lap during hour........109.2 m.p.h.
3) Best lap ever (officially timed ) 110.043 "

We had the times controlled by the Automobile Club de France Officials. Reuters representative was also present and reporters of most of the French newspapers as well as of the Continental Daily Mail were also in attendance.

The weather was excellent and I think you will find the figures quite satisfactory.

We probably might have done a bit better had it not been for the wind which was blowing at 7 Metres per second.
