Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
DERBY.

For the Attention of Mr. Steadman.

Dear Sirs,

Replying to your letter of the 14th inst., we have to thank you for giving us the interesting data showing an analysis of the effect of altitude on the critical air temperature of a typical R.R. car.

We are preparing details of the relative weights with:

.006" tinned waterways and .004" untinned centres &
.005" " " .004" " "

and we shall forward these to you either by today's post or tomorrow.

The Matrix to Drawing EB.2513 ordered in your letter of the 9th instant is now on tests and should be ready for despatch today or tomorrow.

Referring to the last paragraph of your letter in which you ask for a 52 m/m Mark VI Matrix 17½" X 17½" for test by the Harrison Radiator Corporation, we think that it would be advisable to defer this test until we can make this matrix on the machine which we are making for the manufacture of Mark VI matrices. As the Mark VI matrices which we are making from time to time are produced on hand tools it is impossible to make them

Contd.
