Clutch pedal rattle on the 10,000-mile Bentley car, identifying the spherical mounting as the cause and requesting a new design.

The spherical mounting for the clutch pedal was not a success on the last 10,000 mile Car. It caused the clutch pedal to rattle. The symptoms were, the bearing was too loose, and in our opinion not of sufficient area; more damping is required.

We are preparing a specification for the next 10,000 mile car, and should like a new design for this bearing.
