To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to By/RB.{R. Bowen} 6135 RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}9/JH.7.6.39. Lucas Warning Light. We have had two or three failures of the Lucas Warning light unit, which suggests that these are unreliable in respect of the contact between lamp bulb and holder. It has been found that the lamp will sometimes light up when the bulb is pressed in by hand, but fails to light with the window in position. One unit which has failed in this manner is being returned to the makers as an example, and for their examination. This particular unit went wrong while in service on a car.
