Frictional Damped Bumper - to Eliminate Radiator Movement.

Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/E22.11.33

I am in receipt of Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}14/KT.20.11.33. The number of the 20/25 Trials Car on which I suggest this test should be made is GYZ-31, i.e. the Trials Car which we had out at Bignalls Corner at our last meeting and on which it was agreed there was too much movement of the radiator etc.

The car is not at present fitted with bumpers but of course has the bumper fittings.

I hope that you will be able to make the test in London without taking the car away.

It would seem as if it should be quite simple to ascertain what the effect the fitting of the bumper has, as the test with and without the bumper fitted could be made over the same piece of road very quickly.

If you agree this suggestion and could send the bumper to Lillie Hall, it could easily be fitted there and a date arranged for the test to be made.
