L.T. WIRING SPECIFICATIONS.

(40/50 and 20 H.P.)

Specification 250.
MATERIAL. 600 megohm grade.
CORE SIZE. 40/36.
OUTSIDE DIA. .200" maximum.
DIELECTRIC. One layer pure rubber and two layers vulcanizing rubber. Radial thickness of pure rubber must be at least .006". Total radial thickness of dielectric .035".
PROTECTIVE COVERING. Oil-resisting varnished cable cloth applied spirally. Protected overall with a Ferflex braid of 36 S.W.G. tinned copper wire.

Specification 252.
MATERIAL. 600 megohm grade.
CORE SIZE. Single 84/25.
OUTSIDE DIA. .425" maximum.
DIELECTRIC. One layer pure rubber and two layers vulcanising rubber. Radial thickness of pure rubber must be at least .007". Total radial thickness of dielectric .050".
PROTECTIVE COVERING. Oil resisting varnished cable cloth applied spirally. Cotton braided and compounded black. Workshop finish.

Specification 260A.
CORE SIZE. Single 40/36.
OUTSIDE DIA. Maximum .187".
DIELECTRIC. One layer pure rubber, one layer white vulcanising rubber, and one layer black vulcanising rubber. Radial thickness of pure rubber .006". Total radial thickness of rubber .035".
PROTECTIVE COVERING. Single layer varnished cable cloth, braid of polished cotton yarn and treated with Gloy adhesive during braiding to prevent slipping or fraying of the braiding material. Various colours.
