It has not been possible to obtain successful castings
in K.53 up to the present. Standardisation sheet is to be
issued for this.

Larger Inlet Valve and High Compression Cylinder Head.

It was agreed that a standardisation sheet should be
issued for the larger inlet valve and higher compression head
as tested on 4-B-IV but it should only be used in special
cases where extra performance is required.

It was not thought a wise policy to increase power
at the expense of roughness. We have no cases of complaints
from customers of lack of power or poor performance. We should
therefore keep the high compression head with larger inlet valve
for special cases only.

The Experimental Department will give full particulars
of the cylinder head used on this car.

Pedals with Moulded Rubbers.

These were stated to have been very satisfactory.
They were made by the British Goodrich Co. of Burton. It was
agreed that these could be standardised and brought on
production when convenient. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} asked if he could examine
the pedals which had completed tests.

All Metal Flexible Petrol Pipe.

This was reported to be very satisfactory. It was
agreed that this could be standardised and brought on production
when convenient. It is a much neater looking pipe than the
present standard one. Experimental Dept. have two makes
of all metal flexible petrol pipe on test and they have
undertaken to specify which of the two makes were tested on
4-B-IV.

Servo - Floating Fabric Type.

It was agreed that this could be standardised and
brought on production when convenient. More clearance is
required on the outside diameter of the moving plates. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}
undertook to arrange this.

Larger Horn Button.

It was agreed that this was an advantage and could
