Pilot jet for easy starting has so far very
favourably impressed them here. I believe I could
get them to adopt it in preference to their choker scheme
fitted to 4.EX, but something of this sort they say they must
have. They immediately ask if this can be standardised.
They must fix it on at once, and retrospectively if convenient,
etc. We must settle something quickly.

I am now about to make a long test and take compara-
tive results of all proposed schemes. Weather warm but
works well. OY. has cabled to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} for particulars. I
will report later when I have made comparative tests of
Derby scheme and Springfield choker scheme.
