X.2894 X.3009 X.800 We send you per registered post, the following samples of tungsten - INDEPENDENT LAMP & WIRE CO., WEEHAWKEN N.J. 1 pair of contacts for Bosch magneto. 1 pair of Delco contacts. 3 tungsten tacks with head .070" dia. 5 tungsten tacks with heads .125" dia. 1 tungsten rod .109" dia. x 3" long. FANSTEEL COMPANY. 4 tungsten rods .160" dia. x 1 1/4" long. 2 tungsten rods .093" dia. x 3" long. 4 tungsten rods .069" dia. x 1 1/4" long. Would you kindly proceed with testing the above for high and low tension contacts on the car, also for spark gap points, in accordance with Mr. Royce's instructions. When used on the distributor, the tungsten rods should be held on the rotor, as in sketch "A" - (A) BEND THE TUNGSTEN ROD, ASSEMBLE IT IN CLIP AND THEN GRIND OUTER EDGE TRUE. and on the static contacts, as in sketch "B" - (B) The idea is that the most satisfactory way in which to use the tungsten is to grip it mechanically.
