I have received your memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}IO/KW.24.8.36.

The steering with exception of joggles on the 30. HP. 22.G.V. is now satisfactory, but tyre pressures must be 30 lbs. front - 35 lbs. rear.

The fitting of the new steering will be interesting both from the point of stability and staying put.
The car will, as you say, be a stand by if and when the Bentley is out of commission.

We note your remark re pendulum levers. We have already tried the short lever, but did not report, as our steering at the time was in such a bad condition. The test will take time as the front wing has to be removed each time, and is a Coachbuilders job.

We have brought the Bentley up to Paris.
The front axle has been taken out and the Fitters are busy changing over the Brake mechanism. The top of the pivot pins were on the dry side when dismantled.

I have instructed that shifts will be run with this car to get the mileage and results quickly.
