Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards}13/IH. Dr. J.C.Morrison, The University, Glasgow. 8th. October 1937. Dear Dr. Morrison, Many thanks for your letter, and I am extremely sorry mine fell below class ticket standard. However, as it was not meant as a report, and none of the results had been checked, I hope you will excuse its brevity. I can assure you there was no intention what-ever of withholding information. It is simply that up to the present the only curves which have been drawn are rough freehand sketches to see how things were going, and we never state things definitely until we are certain they are right. However, I am not going into details now, as, if you are coming down we shall be able to discuss things in comfort. Mr. Robotham has handed on your letter to him, and says that Friday will be quite a convenient time to call, and, if you will let us know the approximate time, I shan't be the other side of the works when you arrive. I'll say no more now, as we can discuss it all on Friday, so looking forward to seeing you then, Yours sincerely, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
