TO C. FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} ORIGINAL X7830 SECRET. EAC. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M4.5.26. Copy to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} re. BODY FOR EAC. 7. X7830 We shall need a body for the first EAC. 7. experimental chassis to be completed in about three months from this date. We propose using subframe mountings so as to avoid having to send the chassis to the coachbuilders (this car has half elliptic springs.) The body will be for D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} steering long chassis. The Exp. Dept. suggest that we should ask you if there is any particular type of body that you think we should have. From our point of view we would prefer that it be a Barker body as they are now used to making us special bodies for odd experimental cars, and do not become alarmed with a few odd things that are out of the usual, for example, the body for EAC.7. was very similar to the one we require in that it had the new seating positions. Would you kindly let us have your views. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
