to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/28.8.26. RE EXPERIMENTAL COACHWORK. X8830 X7830 X5830 We are asking the following questions, not with a view to pressing the work instructed, but rather to enable us to arrange a programme with the coachbuilders. (1) When shall we get the chassis for 7EX. returned to Barkers? (2) When can we expect to receive a subframe for EAC.VII at Hoopers. We are ready to start as soon as it arrives. [Handwritten: 2 to 3 wks] (3) When shall we receive a subframe for the Expl.India at Hoopers as we have all the body designs ready for construction to commence. Mr Royce's approved bodies for these two Hooper cars will be sent to you for your own information in a day or so. [Handwritten: 4 wks] (4) We are ready to have 10.EX Phantom Sports at Barkers any time now to repair the body and fit new wings. There are several new chassis fittings needed such as raised step-irons and a new pendulum lever cover. Will you arrange to to fetch the chassis when convenient. To this car we are proposing to have fitted a set of Zeiss Headlights. [Handwritten: Ready] In connection with 7EX. it will be remembered that we have to send men to Barkers to fit the new subframe supports to the subframe. We wish to make a good job of the body if we can as Mr Royce intends to use this car in the South of France during the coming season .
