Issue of Orders.

Please note, it has been decided that orders must be issued in satisfaction of requisitions issued by me and counter-signed by Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} as follows:-

(a) The dates given for the issue of orders on authorised programmes for materials for the production of chassis must not be exceeded, i.e., orders must be posted on or before the dates given on the programmes.

(b) Orders in satisfaction of other requisitions, including those entered in Stores books, must be posted within 7 days (including Sunday) of the issue of the requisition.

(c) In cases where time is the essential factor, orders must be issued with the least possible delay after receipt of the requisition. The question of whether a requisition is urgent or not is to be decided by the Department requiring the material or parts requisitioned.

In consequence of this decision, I am giving notice to Works (Sft{Mr Swift}) and Stores (Chat) that requisitions for general supplies for Works must be issued 7 days earlier than hitherto, and I am also notifying every other Department of the course they must take with regard to requisitions for material or parts urgently required.

Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}
