Em/Ed.{J. L. Edwards}4/GH.26.1.40. 26th January 19401 Messrs. Clayton, Dewandre Ltd., Titanic Works, Lincoln. Dear Sirs, FOR THE ATTENTION OF MR. S. D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} WILLETT. ------------------------------------- Some time ago we had a visit from your Mr. Blomley who kindly promised that any information or assistance which we desired to obtain from your wind tunnel and heat transmission plant would be freely given. As you know, we obtained one of your latest car heaters to test, and we have had this fitted to one of our motor cars for some considerable time. Heat delivery and defroster delivery appear to be reasonably but unfortunately the instrument is inclined to be very noisy, and we have put this down to the electric motor. At the same time however, we are anxious to compare the heat delivery of your heater with that of various other firms, and we should be grateful if you would agree to obtain figures from a Smith Heater, a Buick Heater, and an A.C. Heater. We have been doing some fairly intensive work on heaters in the last few weeks and we feel that a discussion would probably be to our mutual advantage, and suggest that your representative call on our Mr. Edwards at some convenient date to talk the matter over. Yours faithfully, DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER - CHASSIS. | ||
