3. BRAMSHOTT OLD MILL, NEAR LIPHOOK, HAMPSHIRE. Somewhat surprised at the silencer going. I should have thought that it would have lasted longer. Or do you consider that it inevitably needs renewal in 5 years? Did you go to the Donington G.P. in October, I wondered whether I should see you there. I was so bucked by it, that I purchased a 2.9 Alfa the next week for the purpose of racing this year. Sheer madness of course. However I thought I would like to have just one more season's racing. It will be interesting to see how much difference eight years absence from racing makes. What a pity it is that you boys at Derby don't race. I am sure it would be a grand tonic for the staff. Personally, in one way, I am very sorry that the firm have done so well with aero engines. | ||
