be tested. It would be nice if we could protect the
glass from risk of breakage, I think, but we can leave that
until we find if it is necessary.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} suggests hard glass. English plate-glass used
to be considered far harder than French. This we could
enquire into, but get the job moving. It is now hopeful, and
promises well.
