Knocks on existing dampers are being satisfactorily dealt with by modifying the replenishing ball valves and fitting oil feeds to intermediate levers as per Depot Sheet Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}225. The split piston type now being produced appears satisfactory in service.
