REAR AXLE COMPLAINTS AND ADJUSTMENTS MADE.

B.1.BL. 30.4.37 27088 Complaint axle noisy on over-run at 40 m.p.h. Race examined and found fairly good. Track slightly pitted. Rectified by fitting thinner GB.2101 plate to nosepiece, i.e. - .003", and replacing same pinion race; pinch O.K.

B.139.CW. 30.4.37 28561 Owner complained of axle noisy at 40 m.p.h. Race examined and track found pitted. Rectified by changing axle pinion race and correcting pinch on same.

B.147.CW. 30.4.37 38358 Complaint of axle noisy on over-run. Found too much pinch on race. Rectified by fitting .004" thinner thrust washer.

B.122.JD.{J. Draper - Frames} 30.4.37 1977 Complaint axle noisy about 35 m.p.h. Found no pinch on race and thrust washer found worn badly. Rectified by correcting pinch on race by fitting new thrust washer.

B.123.AE. 3.5.37 56561 Complaint of oil leak from axle nose-piece. Found thrust washer badly worn (.108" replaced by .115"). Correct pinch on race.

B.74.HK.{Col. T. Harker - Sales} 4.5.37 6408 Complaint - examine nosepiece races for O.K. Found pinion race cage broken. Rectified by changing race and resetting pinch on same.
