Copy of Letter ----------------- From: THE CAMBRIDGE AND PAUL INSTRUMENT COMPANY LIMITED. ROY{Sir Henry Royce}9/AG2.1.24 WGC/MTS CAMBRIDGE. January 8th.1924. Dear Sirs:- Vibrograph ---------- In reply to your letter of January 3rd, we hope to be able to send our Representative with this instrument on Tuesday, the 22nd inst. He will arrive in Derby somewhere about midday. If it can be readily arranged we think it would be well that the teeth in your gear box should not come in mesh at a rate appreciably greater than 50 per second, and if possible at a lower speed than this, but it is desirable that they should be fairly heavily loaded. The undersigned will endeavour to come on to Derby on the afternoon of the following day. Yours faithfully, For THE CAMBRIDGE AND PAUL INSTRUMENT CO.LTD. W.G.Collins. Director and Works Manager.
