No. 1 UNIT.

(1) Camshaft Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1536.
(2) Aerolite pistons out of No. 2 Unit.
(3) Valve springs E.85316.
Modified self-adjusting tappets as fitted to No. 3 unit with the following alteration - Distance pieces to replace springs.
E.85321 plunger springs.
(4) New type of R.R. distributors with the modified governor springs (Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1676).
(5) New design of con. rod big end avoiding cross drilling (Lead Bronze).
(6) Test carbs. off No. 3 unit with outside balance and later to be fitted with reversed throttles.
(7) Crankcase with modified water passages, LeC.4074.
(8) Single plate clutch N.Sch.4229.
(9) Improved timing gears.
(10) C. & A.{Mr Adams} cylinder head gaskets.
(11) Distributor to LeC.4177.
