Lancs.

For the attention of Mr. Evans.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter dated the 19th instant, enclosing a sketch of the proposed modification to the rubber F.60398. This appears to be very similar to the Essex and the Ford engine rubber. Please do not modify the second mould until we have given you our criticism of the sample rubbers.

In case you have not been informed of our latest durometer hardnesses as asked for our production rubbers, I will give you the latest list.

F.60398 Durometer 65-70
F.60399 " 65-70
F.60517 " 65-70
F.60251 " 65-70
F.60364 " 60-65
F.60354 " 80

I am enclosing drawings of the Essex front rubbers in case these will help you to supply us with the most satisfactory rubber. Please return these when you have finished with them.

We should like 6 sets of the latest type rubbers for test purposes.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
