We obtained, last December, from the World Radio Ltd. a Motorola Radio set model 65. This was fitted to 7.B.5. and gave a very good performance. Last March we ordered another set of the same type for fitting to W.2.AX. The makers asked us to wait 14 days until their latest model the "850" was ready, as this was to take the place of the "65". For this reason a model "850" was fitted to W.2.AX. This model "850" has never been as good as the "65" and has given quite a lot of trouble due to noise, fading etc. We are sure the set is at fault as we have now changed over the two sets, and with it, the performance. Will you please obtain for us as soon as possible a replacement for the model "850", if possible we should like a model "65" if not, one with as good a performance. This is extremely urgent as we must fit the new set by the end of next week. Handwritten notes: We have taken this set down and retrimmed: Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} marked improvement obtained. The accumulators also giving trouble. which we have now rectified. for Mr Pope [Signature: Mr Childs] Radio set returned as yet [Signature] 20/7 | ||
