Replying to your CK{Mr Clark}3/T27.2.20, we have not yet had trouble through pillar coming slack, although it is always possible to tighten down the nuts after running. I think this is due to shrinkage of both the micanite and theVulcasbestos washers used, and I should say that the worse offender is the Vulcasbestos washer. The design does not seem to be in keeping with Mr. Royce's ideas which he pointed out on the dynamos, i.e. bolting up on a soft insulating material which will continually shrink, etc. EP{G.
