The above chassis has had a number of repairs carried out to it by Clan Foundry personnel and at Hythe Road, and we would now like you to give us an estimate for the total cost of the complete repairs so that we can submit same to the customer. We herewith classify the work done and material supplied as follows :- 1. Work carried out at Hythe Road. 2. Work carried out at Clan Foundry. 3. Material supplied from stock. Item 1. Estimated cost by N. Test and flush out cylinder block. Remove and refit water jacket covers Hone out cylinder bores. Supply and fit - 6 EB.2844a. oversize pistons complete with rings and gudgeon pins. 12. 1. 0d. Dismantle and re-erect main & intermediate bearings. Supply & fit new set of main bearings with liners, 8-EB.3531, 1 each EB.3529/30, 8-EB.3535, 2-EB.3536 and 4-EB.3534. Clean out crankshaft oilways. Supply & fit 24-E.54178 Washers 1-EB.1601 felt, and 1-EB.827 joint to crankcase. 14.16. 7d. Supply & fit 6-EB.2810 big end bearings, 12-EB.3065 liners and 6-E.51375 small end bushes. 9. 6. 1d. Disemble and re-assemble spring drive Supply & fit 2-E.55092 duck washers and 14-E.54793 washers. Skim and polish faces and adjust spring drive. 2. 5. 5d. (continued) £38. 9. 1d. | ||
