GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} (crossed out) Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 111 3 ? (handwritten) BY.12/N.16.10.37. Bentley Gearbox - 3rd. Motion Shafts. Referring to your memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}4/N.13.10.37, I have examined the shafts returned and am in agreement with you having them Fescolised to bring them back to size where the centre ball race fits, and I believe this can be carried out successfully. I note the splines at the front end of the shaft are worn, and you may have more difficulty in getting these built up, but there is no reason why an attempt should not be made. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
