R.R. 285A (100 T) (S.H. 169. 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2800 X2758 OY. from HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Aug. 22nd. 1921. INDUCTION PIPES. I have just received your letter of Aug. 8th. From our experience, we would certainly advise you strongly to go ahead as regards the scheme of collecting the liquid. petrol. From our tests lately, we should say it is the best arrangement we know of in dealing with our existing arrangement of induction pipe. After all, that is the big problem we have got to tackle. I had in mind springing a surprise on you and sending you a pipe fitted with this scheme but it is evident from your letter that you realize all the possibilities and most probably by the time you got this, you will have got a scheme working. I enclose herewith for your information some photographs of Goshawk 11. engine and gear box unit. Although I dare say you will think we are wasting our time in mucking about with a small car, it might please you when you notice that the whole arrangement has distinctly a U.S.A. look about it. The ignition set shown on the engine is only a temporary set. We are having a R.R. Bosched set. I should not let these photographs go far out of your hands because it is supposed to be a secret that we are contemplating making a small car. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
