49940 D.P. F.E.T. C. Ons. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RE ORDERING MATERIAL FOR FOUR WHEEL BRAKES. In regard to BY3/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 30. 4. 24, the 200 sets of material represents all the special material we should have on order at the moment. We may, of course, possibly have more front axles and pivot forgings delivered than this, which is quite satisfactory, but where the original pivots and axles have been machined they will be wrong, and scrap in consequence, but I do not propose to place any further brake material on order to a greater extent than 200 sets which will have to cover "J" series and replacement work after we know the job is right, until the orders we then place for material begin to come in. Mr. Booth should note that as apparently the foot pedals will vary with the type of servo adopted, it is not safe to order up the pedals as instructed in my previous memo, but leave those until we order up the servo parts. | ||
