Power Curve.

Attached is the first power curve. We have temporarily rigged up an expanding carburetter on a T pipe. Obviously this curve is of a very preliminary nature, the induction system may be at fault.

General Engine Smoothness.

As far as we can tell on the test bed, this is excellent. Without the damper, the unit runs sweetly at 3000 R.P.M. without any signs of distress.

P.S. We find that by running with .020" tappet clce we can bring the M.E.P. up 6 lbs/sq.in and only begin to loose power at 4500 R.P.M. This suggests that this small engine does not require such a long duration camshaft as J.III. and we are continuing the experiments to find the best timing and durations.
