Draper - Frames} Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. A discussion was held on 1.6.40. to finalise specifications for cars in the rationalised programme. The object was :- 1. To get a specification which could be lodged at Ashby and which would enable the administration to produce a car after the war with the minimum prospect of any production troubles. 2. A specification to which the next rationalised car would be built, if and when facilities for manufacturing experimental pieces on the chassis should again become available. It was decided that the Ripplet should be taken as the basic specification for post war production, and the following decisions were arrived at in order to produce a class one specification; these departures were recommended to the Exp: Ripplet specification number 3, issued on 2.3.40.
