Instruction to modify and re-test a Bentley radiator grille for temperature drop at Brooklands.

| To HHG. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Mor. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} re Bentley Radiator Grille. Confirming verbal instruction, will you please remove every other horizontal bar in the Bentley radiator grille, as per sample herewith. We should also like at the same time to have this grille stiffened in accordance with Lec.3908. We have arranged with Km. that this grille should then be re-tested for temperature drop, and also compared with radiator shutters instead of the open matrix which has never yet been done under Bentley conditions of speed and air flow.
