1028 To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}20/JH.9.3.37. 5-B-IV front alum. Brake Drums. The above drums crackle after braking. Will you please make 8 screws to Ex.21591, take the front drums off 5-B-IV remove the present lock plates screwing the liner, and onstead fit 4 of these screws as we originally used to do, only between the centre two ribs. The position of the screws is sho n on Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}55 or Ex.21590 The drums can then go back on the car. We would like this doing as soon as possible, to see if it reduces crackling. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/A.F.Martindale. | ||
