Please receive herewith E.CD.750 Deletion of Hand Ignition Control - Phantom lll. It having been decided to get rid of the hand ignition control on the experimental engine for the next Phantom lll, 15,000 miles test car, the following points will require attention in addition to the alterations to engine controls and undersheets shown on E.CD.750. (1). The controls at the steering head will now be arranged similar to the Wraith lll, that is, only two levers with their tubes required instead of three, the throttle control and the damper governor control, both having 81° movement at quadrant. (2). All ignition controls between steering box and distributors are deleted (This will be a considerable economy). (3). The revolving distributor head will be replaced by a fixed head with means for initial adjustment for timing, similar to Wraith lll. (4). The governor will require re-setting to give a satisfactory ignition advance curve without the aid of the hand control. Will you please detail and instruct experimentally the required parts, noting that E.CD.750 modifies the previous designs E.CD.644 and E.CD.666.
