Y6092. Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. to C. c. to H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} c. to K.{Mr Kilner} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.12/MA.21.2.35. FAILURE OF VOLTAGE REGULATOR ON Mr.Myers PHANTOM II CHASSIS. We confirm our telephone conversation this afternoon regarding the continual failures of voltage regulators on this chassis when we pointed out that as a result of a consultation with Messrs.Lucas who make the regulators we had decided that the cause of the trouble is entirely due to Messrs.E.K.Cole Ltd., connecting their condenser filter unit (used in connection with their Wireless Set) to the field fuse terminal on our distribution board. The filter unit should be connected to the main fuse terminal and not to the field fuse terminal. This failure has been very annoying and has caused considerable inconvenience to ourselves and to customers in elucidating the cause of the failure and we are taking up the matter very strongly with Messrs.E.K. Cole. We consider, therefore, that if you alter the connections of this filter unit as suggested Mr.Myers trouble will disappear. Will K.{Mr Kilner} please note the above remarks in view of any further trouble they may experience with regulators on Radio equipped cars. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
