EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/C1m.1/JH.

3rd. May, 1939.

Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden Ltd.,
Eastern Works,
Camden Street,
BIRMINGHAM.1.

For the attention of Mr. Jackman.

Dear Sirs,

We are returning under separate cover one Oscillith bush which we have been running in a shock damper link. It has only run 4 hours on our test rig where we require 50 hours.

There hardly seems to be enough rubber in the bush, and the bolt is inclined to tear the rubber when assembling but you yourselves advised us to use a ½" dia. bolt in the instance. We are continuing our tests in the hope of getting better results.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
